We're so excited to add Lesson Plans and associated materials for educators, home-school parents, librarians, and more.  

We've noticed that this book works for a wide range of ages and interests. Little ones are mostly engaged by the wonderful characters. They can count crabs or geese or sailboats, name colours, and practice concepts like in, out, up, and down.  Older children respond to the poetry and the idea of exploration.  They might want to compose a verse for the 2-page spread in the middle of the book, investigate the Pacific Flyway, or study the habits and habitats of seals around the world. 

We think it's wonderful that our book could be a leaping off point for a variety of learning activities for a child as they grow, for families with multiple children  or for any other setting, with a variety of children with different interests and abilities.
